Thanks to everyone who made 2012 special. I love you all very much and hope 2013 is great!

Thanksgiving 2012

It's that time of year to say
Thanks! 2012 was a year of
milestones. My cousins Frances and
Dennis celebrated their 50th
anniversary in Southern California.
It was a great opportunity to
visit with all my West Coast
relatives. Lots of people showed
up for the event to celebrate. It was
a great opportunity to take pictures
of all my relatives.
Being in L.A. gave me a chance
also to spend time with my fabulous
niece Nancy and her Husband Mark.
My 60th birthday celebration was not as elaborate. The 60th
birthday cake my basketball buddies got me was dropped on the
basketball floor. But at the age of 60, I'm thankful that I am still
playing basketball.
Thankful that I got to travel a lot this year. I was able to get to
Charleston, WV to visit with my great baseball buddy, Scott
Robinson, the West Virginia Powers' number one fan. Also a great
inspiration to me as he is also awaiting a heart transplant.
My travels took me to North Dakota. I got to visit Bismarck and
see some of the places where Lewis and Clark visited. The real
reason for the trip was to get to Fargo for the 100th anniversary of
the dedication of the statue of my 33x Great Grandfather, Rollo the
Viking. Also at the event was ninth cousin K.J. Pearsall who is into
the Pearsall genalogy. Learned a lot about our family history from
him.
Very thankful for my opportunity to teach college. Below right is
Virginia Marti Veith herself, the founder of the college. Teaching
there gives me lots of opportunities to photograph fashion shows and
other events there.

Equally thankful for the students and staff at Miami-Jacobs
Career College where I have the privilege to teach and the
opportunity to shoot the graduation photos there. As I mentioned,
I'm very thankful for the opportunity to travel. Had a great time in
New Orleans, the first time visiting there. Statues abound including
Andrew Jackson and fountains honoring jazz musicians. Everyone
in New Orleans is having fun and although still overcoming Hurricane
Katrina, there is a reminder how beautiful we all are.
Got to visit two new stadiums. Petco Park in San Diego where
there is a statue of Padre great Tony Gwynn. Above right, I got to
Russel Diethrick Park in Jamestown, NY. The batter is Cleveland
Indians first round draft choice, Tyler Naquin. Those are the 84th
and 85th baseball stadiums I visited.
